A receipt, a quote, a letter, a finished job. Nitka reads what is in the picture and files it like any other memo.

Snap the picture and say what it is in the same breath, instead of typing the context afterwards.
Forwarded email
Forward anything to your own Nitka address and it becomes a memo, subject and body included.
Works with no signal
Capture is local first and always. It queues on the phone and syncs when you're back online.
However it comes out
Speak or type in whatever language you think in, and mix two in the same sentence. It understands either way.
What it understands
What happens between saying it and it being filed.
The who, what, when and how much
Names, dates, times, places and amounts are pulled out of what you said and made usable.
Knows who is who
Your partner, your daughter, that client. It learns the people in your life and keeps them straight, including across spellings and scripts.
Threads, not folders
Everything is grouped around the people, places and jobs it belongs to. You never file anything.
Vague dates stay vague
“Sometime next week” is stored as a window, not forced into a false appointment on Monday at 9.
Facts are not nags
A dated fact that needs no action is kept and never nagged about. Only real obligations get chased.
Reminders and obligations
Everything with a deadline, and everything you can do to it.
Create and edit anything
Every reminder can be opened, retimed, rewritten or cancelled, whether Nitka made it or you did.
Recurring, without a pile-up
“Every Tuesday evening” becomes a real repeat. Missed ones do not stack up into a wall of overdue items.
Snooze
Push one out without losing it. It comes back when you said, not on its own schedule.
It escalates, then stops
An unanswered obligation is raised again a limited number of times and then left alone. It will not nag you forever.
One memo can close another
Say the job is done and Nitka resolves the obligations that covered it, cancels their reminders, and clears the cards that no longer apply. When it is not certain enough, it asks instead of guessing.
Corrections
Being wrong should not cost you an editing screen.
Correct it by saying so
“Actually, it’s the 5th.” No editing screen, no finding the original.
It never rewrites silently
Nitka shows you what it thinks you meant and which memo you meant it about. Nothing changes until you confirm.
The correction goes all the way down
A confirmed correction rewrites the memo and reprocesses it, so the dates, obligations and reminders that came from it are rebuilt too.
Renames carry across
Correct how a name is spelled and the old spelling is kept as an alias rather than becoming a second person.
Suggestions
What Nitka raises unprompted, and how you keep it in check.
What it raises
Reminders it thinks you want, links between related memos, calendar conflicts, commonsense heads-ups, checks on whether something got done, and questions when it is genuinely unsure.
Always with the reason
Every suggestion says what it was based on, so you can tell whether it understood you.
Accept, edit, or dismiss
Take it as offered, change it first, or refuse it.
It learns what you never want
Dismiss the same kind of suggestion enough times and Nitka stops raising it. Hard conflicts and direct questions are never suppressed.

It checks your day when it matters
If the answer depends on your schedule, it looks at your calendar before answering.

Only from addresses you have verified
Mail from anywhere else is not turned into a memo. If a known sender fails authentication, you are asked before anything is created.
More than one sending address
Add and verify other addresses you send from, and remove them later.
Attachments become memos too
PDFs and images arrive as their own memos and are read like a photo you took. Types are checked by file signature, not by what the email claims.
Calendar
Read to spare you a conflict, never kept.
Read, never stored
Nitka reads upcoming events to see whether a new plan collides with one. Your events are not kept on our servers.
Commonsense conflicts, not just overlaps
A dentist appointment on the morning of the lunch you were looking forward to is a conflict worth knowing about, even though nothing overlaps.

In transit and at rest, and our operational logs never contain your memos.
